I'm planning on leasing a Smart car - specifically the fortwo model. 4.2L/100km which kicks butt (same as the 2005 Toyota Prius, but at almost half the cost for the vehicle).

Christian and I
This past week, my long time buddy Christian Gruber joined me as an agile coach at Capital One with CC Pace. He's staying with me in my apartment in Glen Allen, VA. We're hoping to move into a two bedroom in a month or two. We're going to have lots of fun!

Losing Weight - 207 lbs this morning
Over the last couple of weeks I've made some reasonable progress in losing weight. I didn't quite make it to my goal of 205 by time of my wedding anniversary, but... I'm now close. I figure that in another couple of weeks I can get down to 203-205 range. And I hope to break through the 200 barrier sometime in late August. I haven't been doing any workouts lately which is a problem... but I'll start again this week coming up.

Quick Journal Entry
This past weekend, we had an excellent second devotional gathering at our home. Justice did really well riding his bike but he still has problems with starting and stopping. I started reading "The Artist's Way". Melanie went to hear Mr. Javahari from the UHJ talk in Toronto and was inspired in many great ways. One insight is that we are going to ask/consult with the NSA about our situation, another is that she is going to focus her homeschooling efforts on Baha'i cirriculum. Melanie visited Jeanne and her neighborhood today and had a great time. Melanie also has made some updates to her website: http://www.berteig.org/melanie.

Justice's Seventh Birthday
I can hardly believe that he's seven years old! He's a fanatic about three things: Civilization III, Lego, and reading. He just said: "I only really want to play Civ, Civ, Civ... It's really crazy isn't it?!"
